never saw the sun.

I never saw the sun.
The light from occasional lamps shined in my eyes when someone flipped the switch.
The flicker and glow of fire illuminated my face, and reflected itself in my eyes.
Someone told me that the sun looked like a giant fire once.
I saw flashlights darting about and lighters illuminating white and brown things that burn up your lungs.
Sometimes, I even looked at the moon, knowing that the sun had travelled all the way accross the world.
I saw headlights dance and and shine on my wall.
I saw all these sources of light, but I never saw the sun.
